Wireing

Wire behaves similarly to Redstone dust — it has no collision, carries a signal further than vanilla Redstone, and connects to nearby wire, Transponder Snails, Transponder Snails with Transmitter, and White Transponder Snails.

Use it to:

• Extend a placed Adult Black Transponder Snail's tapping range, by connecting it through wire to a vertical stack of Lightning Rods.
• Connect a Transponder Snail with Transmitter to a White Transponder Snail for call protection — see Protecting Calls (White Transponder Snail).

For range boosting, each Lightning Rod in the stack adds range, up to a maximum. The stack needs a clear, unobstructed view of the sky — if it's blocked nearby or buried underground, the connection fails and you'll get a message telling you the connection is blocked.
