Getting Started
- Put History Stages (6.1.0 or newer) and HSTG: Permissions into the
modsfolder of the server. - Put both into the client too if you want the editor tab, F3+F4 support and ranks on name tags.
- Start the server once. The config appears as
config/hstg_permissions-server.toml.
Say you have a global stage iron_age and creative mode should stay closed until the world reaches it.
- Open the History Stages editor and pick
iron_age. - Go to the Commands tab and click +.
- Search for
gamemode, open it and tickcreative. Click Add. - Save the stage.
That's it. Until the world has iron_age, nobody can run /gamemode creative, not even an operator.
Once it's unlocked, everyone can, operator or not. /gamemode survival still works like before, since
no entry names it.
The same entry in the stage's JSON file:
"addons": {
"hstg_permissions:commands": [
{ "command": "minecraft.gamemode.creative" }
]
}For a moderator role, use an individual stage, say role_moderator, and add minecraft.kick and
minecraft.tp. Give the stage to a player with /history unlock. They can kick and teleport from then
on, without being an operator. Take the stage away and the commands are gone again, no relog needed.
Want them to see [Mod] in front of their name as well? See Ranks.
/hstgperms check Steve gamemode creative
tells you whether Steve may run it and which stage decides. More in Commands.
