Chooses the spawn point of new worlds: you can limit it to dimensions, biomes or structures (by default players start in a village). Personal spawn points set with beds and respawn anchors are not affected.
The settings are in config/kineticcore/setspawn.toml, and can be edited with the dedicated editors under F6 → World spawn.
Rules apply in this order; each one narrows the search of the next:
-
Dimension (
rule_dimension): spawn only in the listed dimensions. Empty means the Overworld. -
Biome (
rule_biome): look for the listed biomes in the chosen dimension; plains, desert and savanna by default. -
Structure (
rule_structure): look for the listed structures in the matching dimension and biomes; every vanilla village by default. Only this rule is enabled by default.
When the structure search times out (structure_timeout_seconds, 12 seconds by default) the biome and then the dimension rules are tried; if those fail too, the vanilla spawn is used.
| Option | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
enable |
true | Master switch |
radius |
10000 | Biome search radius (blocks) |
structure_radius |
256 | Structure search radius (chunks). Large values (over 512, say) make world creation very slow |
structure_timeout_seconds |
12 | Structure search timeout |
biome_step |
48 | Biome sampling step; smaller is more accurate but slower, 32–64 recommended |
To spawn on the End's outer islands, structure_radius must be above 64 (the End has a void ring of about 1000 blocks).
- The spawn is chosen when the world is created and saved with it; changing the config later does not affect existing worlds.
- Players joining for the first time start at the custom spawn; players who die without a bed or respawn anchor return there.
- When an operator moves the spawn with
/setworldspawn, the new spawn is used. -
/kt world structureshows the structure at your position, handy for finding structure IDs.
