Gameplay Tweaks

These settings are in config/kineticcore/general.toml and can also be changed in F6.

PVP protection

With enablePvpProtection on, players can toggle their own PVP protection with /kt pvp: protected players and their minions cannot be hurt by other players, and related aggro is cleared.

Mob despawning

Mobs that picked up an item normally never despawn. With enableLetMeDespawn they still despawn and drop the equipment they picked up. Mobs in despawnWhiteList stay permanent; use entity IDs or @modid for a whole mod.

Void damage

Falling into the void removes percentage% of max health per hit (10 by default). Entities in whiteList keep vanilla void damage; entity IDs, @modid and #tag are supported. Creative players can be immune to the void and /kill ([creative] enableVoidImmunity).

Other options

Option Description
enableEntityAttributeFixer Fix entities whose health became NaN
enableAlwaysEdible Eat even when not hungry
enableFarmlandProtection Boots enchanted with Protection do not trample farmland
fastCobWebBreaking Axes and other tools break cobwebs as fast as swords and shears
keep_inventory_drop_xp_percentage With keepInventory on, the percentage of XP dropped on death

Bee behaviour, size and rendering are also fixed (death flip angle, spawn state and so on); this can be switched off under startup feature switches.

Throwable spawn eggs

After toggling throwing with Alt + O, spawn eggs can be thrown like snowballs and spawn their mob at a safe spot where they land; hitting a spawner changes the spawner's mob. Speed and spread are set in spawnegg.toml.

Attribute ranges

attributes.toml changes the minimum and maximum of every attribute (for example a higher attack damage cap). An entry only applies after its enabled is set to true. Attributes of newly installed mods are added to the file automatically; set enable_auto_registry_scan to false to stop the file from being rewritten.

Network limits

network.toml raises the limits on packet size, NBT size, string length, timeout and so on, which avoids "packet too large" disconnects in big modpacks. Every entry lists the vanilla default and the allowed range; out-of-range values reset to the default. Server and clients need the same settings.
