Netherite CRT

The last upgrade. It hears the living.

The heartbeat of what moves in the dark.

The Netherite CRT: a hostile mob in the water (the tall red dot with the black outline)

How to make it

Smithing table: netherite upgrade template + Diamond CRT + netherite ingot. No picture tube needed.

What it shows

Everything the Diamond CRT shows (32/64/128 zoom on B, 3 module slots), plus living things within about 4 blocks to either side of the cut, drawn as dots of their size:

  • red with a heartbeat pulse: hostile,
  • green: neutral (a wolf, a bee, an enderman, an iron golem). As soon as it attacks, it turns red,
  • yellow: peaceful (cows, villagers, ...),
  • white stick figures: other players.

With "Color blind colors" on in the settings, neutral is blue instead of green.

Your game only knows mobs within its entity range, so the far edge of the 128 picture may stay empty even if something is there.

Toughness

  • No interference gets through. Portals and endermen don't disturb it, no lightning rod needed.
  • It survives fire and lava, like all netherite.
