WolfSDK 0.3.1 - Loader and Studio
WolfSDK 0.3.1
A small update to 0.3.0: a fix for The New Colossus and a new example mod, a
cheat menu in the developer menu. For Wolfenstein: The New Order and
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Windows, Steam versions of both games.
MIT license.
Downloads
- WolfSDK-Loader-0.3.1.zip for players.
- WolfSDK-Studio-0.3.1.zip for modders (contains the Loader too).
Python is bundled; you do not need to install anything.
Update from 0.3.0
Extract 0.3.1 into a new folder and copy config.json (your ticks and values)
and your own mod folders from mods\ over from the old one. Mods applied with
0.3.0 can stay applied: nothing in the way the loader writes or reverts the
game files changed. If you run 0.3.0, the loader shows this update at the top
right.
New
- Cheat Menu (Example) (The New Colossus): a Cheats sub menu in the
developer menu. God mode, infinite health, cannot die, enemies ignore you,
infinite ammo and grenades, full ammo on every pickup, quarter damage,
remove all enemies, slow motion, high jump, fast run, low gravity, a lamp at
your position, and All values back to normal. Each entry switches on or
off; no key bind is needed. The developer menu comes with the Hidden Menu
Options mod. Tick it together with Dev Menu Map Loading: it keeps that
mod's entries and wins by priority (the loader reports that as a conflict,
on purpose). Also an example of a menu mod made of two plain decl files.
Not yet confirmed in game.
Fixed
- The New Colossus no longer gets the start argument
+com_skipIntroVideo,
which only The New Order knows; The New Colossus answered it with
"Unknown command" in its log. Nothing changes in the game.
Unchanged
Everything else is as in
0.3.0,
including the known limits and the list of what is not yet confirmed in game.

WolfSDK 0.3.0 - Loader and Studio
WolfSDK 0.3.0
A new loader window, an update notifier and the complete cvar lists. In the
Studio: animations in the model viewer, faster models, sound and video
replacement for The New Colossus, and a first look at Wolfenstein:
Youngblood. For Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein II: The New
Colossus. Windows, Steam versions of both games. MIT license.
Downloads
- WolfSDK-Loader-0.3.0.zip for players: tick mods, apply them, start the
game, revert to the original. Cheats & QoL, presets, custom map install. - WolfSDK-Studio-0.3.0.zip for modders: the same loader plus the Studio
(browse, view, export and replace assets, edit scripts and missions). The
Studio needs The New Colossus.
Python is bundled; you do not need to install anything.
Install or update
- Download the ZIP that fits you (see above).
- Extract it into a normal folder, e.g.
Documents\WolfSDK(not inside the
ZIP view, not underC:\Program Files). - Double-click
WolfSDK.cmd. The loader finds the games through Steam.
Coming from 0.2.0: the safest way is to click Revert in 0.2.0 first, then
extract 0.3.0 into a new folder and apply your mods there again. To keep your
ticks and cvar values, copy config.json from the old folder into the new
one; copy your own mod folders from mods\ too.
What's new
Loader
- New window. A clean, modern interface in its own app window (Microsoft
Edge in app mode, which comes with Windows; otherwise Chrome or your
default browser). Sections as tabs at the top, a play bar at the bottom
with the install state, Revert, Apply mods and Start game. Ticks and
values are saved as you change them. It is a local page served by the
loader itself; nothing of it goes online. The old window is still there:
python\python.exe -m wolfsdk gui --classic. - Update notifier. When a new WolfSDK version is out on GitHub, the
loader shows it at the top right, with the release notes and a download
link. It asks GitHub once per start (at most every 6 hours) for the list
of releases and sends nothing else. Info → Check for updates on start
turns it off. - Complete cvar lists. The New Order now lists all 3,186 settable cvars
of its engine (before: only the 31 measured tweaks, which still come
first); The New Colossus all 3,116. The whole list scrolls and searches
at once. - Start knows what the game holds. While your ticks are not in the game
files yet, Apply mods is highlighted, and Start game asks whether to
apply them first. - Mods: a click on a mod shows its details beside the list; only the
switch turns it on or off.
Studio
- Animations in the model viewer: pick one of a model's clips and play
it. - Faster models: textures load as they are needed, material maps are
built in the background. - Replacing sounds and videos (The New Colossus), held back in 0.2.0:
sounds from a 16-bit PCM WAV, videos from a Bink 2 file. Revert now
restores the original sound packs and video files. - Wolfenstein: Youngblood (preview, read only, if installed): texts,
scripts, videos, textures and models with animations. No maps, no export
and no replacing yet.
Fixed
- Revert restores replaced sound packs and video files too (in 0.2.0 it
only restored the texture database relinks, which is why replacing sounds
and videos was held back). - Saving cvar values no longer drops values that were saved outside the
loader's catalogue (for example by an older version);Spielen.cmdkeeps
passing them to the game.
Known limits
- The new window needs Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome to open as a window
of its own; without them it opens as a tab in your default browser. - Youngblood is a preview in the Studio only. The loader does not write
its files. - Not in the public package: the same four mods as in 0.2.0, which carry
whole modified retail files (gore textures, the supersoldiers map, the
golden pistol with textures, the menu branding). Also left out: test
probes and a personal skin. - Planned: map editor, map import from Blender (glTF), The New Order
models, Youngblood maps, adding new assets. - Steam versions only; Microsoft Store/Game Pass does not work, GOG and Epic
are untested. - Custom maps need the DLC The Freedom Chronicles, episode 2 (the map takes
the place of c2v1). - Close the game before applying or reverting mods; after a game update,
revert first. Back up%USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\MachineGamesonce. - Tested on one PC so far.
Not yet confirmed in game
Confirmed in game (unchanged since 0.2.0): applying and reverting mods with
backups, custom map install, Sandbox Tools god mode and infinite ammo, the
developer menu running devmap, and the mod test map loading.
Not yet confirmed:
- Studio: replaced sounds and videos in the game
- The New Order: the cvars beyond the 31 measured tweaks (sent the same way
as those, not tried one by one) - the 126 restored developer start points
- Sandbox Tools: Notarget and F7 (kill all enemies)
- Hidden Menu Options
- the presets Ultra+, Clean Image and Photo Mode
- the Photo Mode mod (F8)
- The New Order: console with Ctrl+^ and cheat cvars via
+toggle - Studio: BC5 normal map replacement
- Studio: script and mission editor
- most other shipped mods (checked structurally only, see each mod's
description)

WolfSDK 0.2.0 - Loader and Studio
WolfSDK 0.2.0
The first public release of WolfSDK: a mod loader for players and a modding
studio for modders, for Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein II:
The New Colossus. Windows, Steam versions of both games. MIT license.
Downloads
- WolfSDK-Loader-0.2.0.zip for players: tick mods, apply them, start the
game, revert to the original. Cheats & QoL, presets, custom map install. - WolfSDK-Studio-0.2.0.zip for modders: the same loader plus the Studio
(browse, view, export and replace assets, edit scripts and missions). The
Studio needs The New Colossus.
Python is bundled; you do not need to install anything.
Install
- Download the ZIP that fits you (see above).
- Extract it into a normal folder, e.g.
Documents\WolfSDK(not inside the
ZIP view, not underC:\Program Files). - Double-click
WolfSDK.cmd. The loader finds the games through Steam.
What's in it
Loader
- Apply and revert mods with bit-exact backups, for both games.
- Sandbox Tools (The New Colossus): F6 toggles god mode, Notarget and
infinite ammo; F7 kills all enemies. - Dev Menu Map Loading (The New Colossus): the developer menu loads
maps again (it runsdevmap), and 126 developer start points are
restored. - WolfSDK: Mod test map in the developer menu: c2v1 with 11 weapons and 8
enemies for trying out mods. The map itself is not in the package yet (its
builder comes later), so the entry only works once the map is installed in
dlc\dlc_0. - Custom map install (The New Colossus): Install map… / Remove map
on the Overview page. - Hidden Menu Options (The New Colossus): the developer menu entry, the
SAS menu, Mein Leben! without finishing the game, the photo mode setting. - Presets (The New Colossus): Ultra+ (17 cvars), Clean Image (11),
Photo Mode (3). - Photo Mode mod (The New Colossus): F8 freezes time with a free camera
and hides the HUD and menus. - The New Order: console with Ctrl+^, cheat cvars kept through the
startup cheat reset via+toggle. - Cvar catalogues from the engines' own registries: 3,116 cvars for The
New Colossus, 3,194 for The New Order.
Studio
- Browse maps, videos, audio, textures and texts of both games.
- 3D viewer for 17,315 models, export to GLB, glTF or OBJ.
- Cutscenes play with their sound in sync with the video.
- Replace BC1 textures, texts and decls; each replacement is saved as a mod
that the loader applies. - New: replace BC5 normal maps (PNG exactly the texture's size, green
channel in DirectX convention). - New: Kiscule script and mission editor: 3,010 scripts, all 205 node
types, add and remove mission objectives; edits accumulate over saves.
The source is in the repository folder modloader/.
Fixed
- When an asset exists both in a base archive and in a patch archive, the
loader now edits the newest patch copy. Before, it edited the older base
copy, so a mod could undo official patch changes to that file. - The loader window now sends the cvars of ticked mods too (before, only the
command line did). - The New Colossus no longer gets the default F1–F4 binds, which never
worked there. Use the Sandbox Tools mod for hotkeys.
Known limits / held back
- Held back: replacing sounds and videos. The Studio refuses it in this
release, because Revert does not yet restore the replaced files. - Not in the public package: four mods that carry whole modified retail
files (gore textures, the supersoldiers map, the golden pistol with
textures, the menu branding). Also left out: test probes and a personal
skin. - Planned: map editor, map import from Blender (glTF), animations, The
New Order models, adding new assets.
