Generation
Give the panel a clear view of the sky. Output follows daylight angle; rain multiplies it by 0.35, thunder by 0.2. With no sky access it falls back to a small block-light contribution, not normal solar output. Source comments target roughly 12,500 energy per Minecraft day, but weather, obstruction and loading alter actual yield.
Use batteries for night or cloud. Compare an exposed panel and a deliberately covered one before assuming a network fault. Normal photovoltaic crafting is omitted in Apocalyptic mode.
Leave space immediately below the generator for its automatically managed turbine and arrange flowing water at that turbine. The machine creates/restores its helper; do not place a separate creative turbine as a substitute.
Rated output is 4 electricity per game tick when valid. The installation is rechecked on a 101-tick schedule. The GUI's active meter is normalised to 0 or 1, not a reading of four units; inspect battery charge or a bounded load for generation evidence.
The turbine damages intersecting entities for 5 damage every 8 ticks. Fence the water channel and do not remove the helper independently. Parent linkage and active blockstate changes are maintained so a restarted generator can resume; historical one-pulse/vanishing-turbine faults are repaired.
Connect steam and electrical services. Buffers are 32 steam and 1,000 electricity. Conversion is 31.25 electricity per steam; up to 32 steam can be processed per eight-tick distribution update. Local steam decay is 0.5 per network update.
Use baseSteam boilers and verify their water/fuel. This generator is not a source of steam, and a boiler-generator loop does not create free energy.
Disconnect the load, insert a battery and prove charge rises. Then attach a small known load and check real work. Save, stop the complete process and repeat without rebuilding. Empty storage alone cannot distinguish an absent generator from demand consuming its output.
