Installation and Upgrading
This edition targets Minecraft 1.10.2, baseElectric 2.2.6.110021 with basePower 2.4.4.110021. Install Java 8, compatible Forge, Base Metals and OreSpawn following the shared installation guide.
basePower is required. baseSteam supplies boilers for a conventional steam-powered generator installation but is not required for solar/hydroelectric operation. Keep matching base versions where the mods are combined.
When converting a released original Cyano 1.10.2 world, remove the old Advantage family and install the corresponding base replacements together. Do not keep Electric Advantage alongside baseElectric. Convert a complete disposable backup first, inspect it, then close the whole process and inspect after restart.
Old electricadvantage: block/item paths map to baseelectric: equivalents. Expected retained state includes battery charge, inventories, tanks, direction, progress, turret ownership and managed entities. Missing owned content is a migration fault, not permission to replace it with air.
config/baseelectric.cfg imports the old config only if no base config exists. Existing OreSpawn profile choices remain authority. Keep complete backups for rollback; individual migrated headers are not a whole-world backup.
