Materials and Oil
| Material | Obtain/use |
|---|---|
| Starch | Crush potato or poisonous potato with Base Metals' Crack Hammer or compatible crusher. |
| Bioplastic | Smelt starch one for one; portable tanks and insulation. |
| Sprocket | Steel mechanical part, also registered as a steel gear. |
| Steel frame | Eight steel bars around an empty centre; machine structure/track. |
| Rotation tool | Iron and sprocket; right-click supported blocks to cycle facing. |
For manual crushing, drop the input and use the Crack Hammer on it. There is no direct crafting-table potato-to-starch recipe in this 1.10.2 edition. Steam/electric crushers automate the registered recipe.
Bioplastic has plastic/ingotPlastic names; plastic_equals_rubber=true also exposes rubber equivalents. Another mod's material must have the right Ore Dictionary registration.
basePower registers a covered desert crude-oil deposit through OreSpawn, not an independent terrain generator. The default is Overworld-only sandy desert terrain, excluding beaches and mesas. Active profile settings control the actual rule.
Mineralogy's ocean oil is complementary. mineralogy_crude_oil keeps its identity but works as crude feed/fuel in appropriate base machinery. Both refine at 2:1. Existing profiles and explicit imported settings beat fresh defaults; changing generation does not automatically replace explored chunks.
| Registry fluid | Default fuel handling |
|---|---|
crude_oil |
5,000 burn ticks per bucket. |
mineralogy_crude_oil |
Same crude fallback when installed. |
oil |
Legacy crude alias when registered, unless explicitly overridden. |
refined_oil |
25,000 burn ticks per bucket in Power fuel handling. |
Machine acceptance is separate from category membership. The electric refinery defaults to refined_oil;oil, not every raw crude. Oil-boiler explicit fuel values override fallbacks.
Crude contact applies Slowness III for ten seconds. Refined oil applies Nausea for ten seconds, matching the examined original release; historical wording about poisoning does not mean Minecraft's Poison effect.
Fresh-profile sulfur preference: Mineralogy, then BaseMinerals, then baseElectric. Lithium: BaseMinerals, then baseElectric. Disabled alternatives remain editable; existing profiles stay authoritative. Canonical sulfur names have British Sulphur aliases where applicable.
BaseMinerals has not yet received the complete provider modernisation; a pack with it and Mineralogy may still need sulfur generation adjusted manually. Compatibility specification.
Minecraft 1.10.2 works manual. Continuing DrCyano's Power Advantage. basePower | baseSteam | baseElectric | Report a problem
