Getting Started
Foreman's instruction: Establish sound transport before blaming the boiler or dynamo.
Follow installation first. Establish a furnace, iron tools, Base Metals steel and copper. Brass becomes useful with baseSteam. Recipes accept properly registered Ore Dictionary equivalents, not arbitrary lookalikes.
- Make steel plates, sprockets and a hopper, then craft conveyors.
- Place an input chest, a conveyor pointing away from it and an output chest at its front.
- Put a small, counted stack of dirt in the first chest. No power is required.
- Check the receiving chest. Use the rotation tool if the arrow points the wrong way.
Plan: [input chest] -> [conveyor] -> [output chest]

For sorting, replace the conveyor with a filter and put another chest immediately below. Read Item Transport before feeding mixed stock.
- Craft fluid pipes, a drain and a metal tank. Normal mode permits iron in the metal-tank recipe.
- Put the drain directly beneath a water source. Connect it to the tank with fluid pipe, not steam pipe.
- Leave the tank's filter slot empty initially. Inspect its GUI for stored fluid.
- Check the water moved into storage. A drain collects source blocks; it does not create water from nothing.
Elevation:
[water source]
[fluid drain] === fluid pipe === [metal tank]
A portable tank needs bioplastic: crush potatoes with a Base Metals Crack Hammer or compatible crusher, then smelt the starch. See Materials.
Count inputs and outputs, save/reload, then close Minecraft completely and reopen. Test redstone in both states before concealing pipework. Successful animation alone does not prove stock arrived.
Next: steam machinery or electrical machinery.
Minecraft 1.10.2 works manual. Continuing DrCyano's Power Advantage. basePower | baseSteam | baseElectric | Report a problem
