Processing Machines
Provide steam, valid input and output room. Configure conveyor/hopper faces on an exposed test line before enclosing it. Redstone and network switching are separate controls. Buffers, inventory, fluid and in-progress work should survive a complete restart.
- One fuel slot, three input slots and three corresponding outputs.
- Solid fuel is still required. Steam improves heating rather than replacing fuel.
- Steam buffer 200; active use 0.5 per tick, plus applicable local decay.
- Fuel heating is 2.5 temperature units per active tick without steam, 15 with steam. Smelting begins at temperature 100; maximum 2,000.
- Work advances by
0.0000035 * temperatureper active tick, so heating state affects time.
For a first check, insert coal and iron ore, then compare heating/output with and without steam. A coal-only completed smelt does not prove steam delivery worked.
- One input, five output slots; uses Base Metals crushing/Crack Hammer recipes.
- Steam buffer 50, active cost 1.5 per work tick, 125 work ticks per operation.
- Potatoes can produce starch through the registered crusher recipe; metals and rock depend on actual registered recipes.
- Blocked output should halt work, not discard produce.
- Comparator reporting is proportional: empty 0, one item 1, roughly half a stack 8, full stack 15 for the simple input witness.
Do not assume every block has a crushing recipe or that every input must become gravel. The recipe registry determines the output.
Input and output tanks each hold 1,000 mB; steam buffer 100. It uses basePower's distillation recipes without a solid-fuel slot. Default crude-to-refined duty is 2:1. Rated active operation applies two recipe units per tick and consumes 1.5 steam per active tick, plus local decay.
Keep crude input and refined product routes separate. Insufficient input for the next recipe unit or blocked product space stops processing. Check tank readings, not only the progress indicator.
For recipe patterns see Configuration and Recipes.
