FAQ

What is AXIOM?

AXIOM is a local CLI and loopback daemon for the checks that come before an AI job: model inspection, JSONL validation, hardware detection, and run planning.

Does AXIOM train or serve models?

No. AXIOM currently produces inspections, validations, diagnostics, and conservative plans. It does not run training, model inference, or a hosted workspace.

What happens when I run bare axiom?

AXIOM prints its command map and startup mark, starts the read-only daemon on a free loopback port, prints the address, and stays attached until Ctrl-C.

Does the daemon expose my machine to the network?

Not by default. It binds to 127.0.0.1. A non-loopback bind requires the explicit --allow-network option.

Is Headroom required?

No. Headroom is a separate optional tool. AXIOM only exposes explicit passthroughs when the Headroom executable is already installed.

Where are releases published?

On the GitHub releases page.

Where is the website?

At netcore-technologies.github.io/AXIOM-AI.

Is AXIOM production-ready?

AXIOM is in beta. Treat plans and fit estimates as estimates, verify release checksums, and review the local network boundary before using it in sensitive environments.
