Installation

AXIOM is available as a release artifact or a source install.

macOS and Linux

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/NetCore-Technologies/AXIOM-AI/main/installers/install.sh | bash
axiom version

The installer puts the command in ~/.local/bin/axiom and prints a PATH hint when that directory is not visible to the current shell.

  • Linux x86_64 uses the published native onedir bundle and verifies its checksum before activation.
  • macOS and non-x86 Linux use an isolated Python fallback from main.
  • The fallback requires Python 3.11 or newer.

Windows PowerShell

irm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/NetCore-Technologies/AXIOM-AI/main/installers/install.ps1 | iex
axiom version

The installer places AXIOM under %LOCALAPPDATA%\AXIOM, updates the user PATH, and asks PowerShell to be restarted.

Source install

git clone https://github.com/NetCore-Technologies/AXIOM-AI.git
cd AXIOM-AI
python -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate
pip install -e .
axiom --help

On Windows, activate .venv\Scripts\Activate.ps1 instead.

Release formats

Linux releases may include .tar.gz, .deb, .AppImage, .elf, and .sh. Windows releases may include .exe, .msi, .ps1, and .bat. Use the matching release page and verify SHA256SUMS when it is published.
