Music and Jukebox
The jukebox plays .ogg and .mp3 files from baseq3r/music/jukebox/. Drop more tracks into that folder (or into a .pk3 with the same path) to extend the playlist, then press F8 (jukebox_rescan) or restart the game.

The jukebox overlay reads optional Vorbis comment tags from .ogg files:
| Tag | Use |
|---|---|
TITLE |
Shown in the overlay |
ARTIST |
Shown as Artist — Title |
ALBUM |
Read, but not shown yet |
If both ARTIST and TITLE are set, the overlay shows Artist — Title. With only TITLE, it shows just the title. Files without tags fall back to a name derived from the file name.
Tag your files with any audio tool that writes Vorbis comments, for example foobar2000, Mp3tag, or vorbiscomment on Linux:
vorbiscomment -w -t "ARTIST=My Band" -t "TITLE=Full Throttle" track.oggThe main menu plays a rotation of tracks from music/. Every .ogg whose file name starts with menumusic (e.g. menumusic04.ogg) is added to it automatically.
A map can set its own background music with the music key on the worldspawn. See Race Track Entities → Worldspawn keys.
Ogg Vorbis (.ogg) is the preferred format. It works everywhere (menu, map music, jukebox) and supports the tags above. The jukebox also accepts .mp3. 44.1 kHz stereo works well.
