Q3Rally has 13 cars. Each one comes with several liveries (skins) in different colours, plus a bot profile that describes its handling. You choose your car and livery under Config → Driver ("Customize your car").
| Car | Type | Character |
|---|---|---|
| Alpine | Compact sports car | Good grip balance and a smooth racing line. Suits technical circuits. |
| Camaro | American classic | Rear-happy and playful at the limit. Rewards drifting. Several stripe liveries. |
| Gravelord | Hearse | Heavy, which makes it a real threat in Derby and Last Car Standing. Curtain and coffin options. |
| Gremlin | Compact sedan | Consistent, predictable handling. A solid pick for newcomers. |
| MacDaddy | Muscular dragster | Supercharger on full display. Loud and spectacular, best on long straights. |
| Mini | Short wheelbase | Nimble in chicanes. Ideal for sprints with tight sections. Several roof colours. |
| Murciélago | Wedge supercar | The "red missile". Very high top speed, needs smooth inputs to stay planted. |
| Raptor | Pickup truck | Brush guard for aggressive passes. Robust in collisions, a derby favourite. |
| Reaper | Tube-frame buggy | Light, with a high centre of gravity. Sharp and thrilling at the limit. |
| Roadster | Open-top cabrio | Elegant and precise on flowing layouts. Shares parts with the Slingshot. |
| Sidepipe | Muscle car | Stable at speed, wins the late-braking battle. Big spoilers. |
| Slingshot | Targa | Twitchy but fast. Removable roofs, great for slipstream attacks. |
| Viper | Aerodynamic GT | High downforce, decisive under braking. Graphite finish. |
Cars use fuel while driving. Refuel by driving through a fuel zone on the track, or by using a Fuel Can item (see Weapons and Powerups). Bots burn fuel at only 10 % of the normal rate.
Cars take damage from weapons, hazards and, in Demolition Derby, from collisions. Auto Repair and the Medkit restore health. Server admins can tune collision damage. See Server Configuration → Demolition Derby.
Physics values such as suspension, grip and aerodynamics are set by the server and are the same for every player on it. See Server Configuration → Vehicle physics.
The car models live in baseq3r/models/players/<car>/. Each car has a body.md3, its textures, and one .skin file per livery (for example red.skin, blue.skin). The wheels are shared and stored in models/players/wheels/.
