Song Select in Ez2Lazer is not only used for selecting charts, but also serves as a workspace for chart analysis, preview, and branch library management.
- Chart preview supports static/dynamic modes, scroll wheel and progress bar seeking. Window size is adjustable. Preview density is a milliseconds-to-pixels scale (about 0.1–5): raising it stretches the time axis only, and note thickness stays at the density-1 screen size. A full-map fill stops at the top of the footer. Border thickness and colour are separate from the drag range.
- With
Settings -> User interface -> Main menu -> Ez background only, song select keeps the menu background and does not load the current beatmap background. - With Ez2Ac 10k2s1p on and an L/R turntable bound, spinning steps through the carousel the same way as ↑/↓.
- Score hover shows the timing bonus and error malus under the score. Sorting stays on the original score. See Game Settings.
- The KPS line sits on panel rows that have no layout frame, and its stroke is drawn straight to the screen.
- Supports KeySound enhanced preview, with optimized playback logic for different chart scenarios.
- Mainly used for full key sound charts.
- Supports filtering/grouping by
pp(depends on local analysis database). - Brand new
Sourcegrouping, such as Touhou Project, Vocaloid, various rhythm games, etc. - Favorites manager enhanced, supporting batch favorites, difference set supplementation, intersection removal, etc.
- Branch library manager supports creation, stacked loading, hiding favorites, exporting and config application.
- Can implement whitelist and blacklist functionality
- Can batch hide and batch delete charts.
- Ez analysis component supports radar charts, KPS curves, per-column note count statistics.
- Song-select wedge hosts DualPanel and radar Skill mode; panels can show ChartDan chips. See Mania Skills System.
- Displays storyboard availability, video background availability, and user tags.
- Analysis results depend on sqlite / Realm background processing; it is recommended to wait for completion during first load.
- Skills (SSR / DualPanel) need a manual recompute from Experimental / Local Profile settings; song select only reads existing results.
- In Ez settings, there are two settings: after enabling Ez recalculation, Mod calculation results will be used. When sqlite switch is off, it will use memory calculation entirely, which may have performance issues.
- Estimated scores or real-time statistics may differ from final settlement values; this is a design choice trading accuracy for speed.
