Worlds and Bosses

STEMSTAGE 2.0 has five worlds: full 3D stages with their own sky, set, lights and atmosphere. Each has a boss.

Pick a world per song (Setlist → Stage), in Settings → Video → Venue, or as the host of an online room.

Boss fights

In a world, the boss can show up in the middle of a song (Settings → Gameplay → World bosses: random, always or off). A warning sounds, the boss arrives, and a health bar and timer appear.

• Every note you hit damages it. Perfect hits do the most, a long streak adds up to +50%, overdrive hits 2.5× harder, and the Boss damage upgrades and pedals add more. Singing: every rated phrase counts.
• Every miss lets it recover a little.
• It attacks your highway every couple of bars: clouds, bubbles, swaying or warping notes, frost creeping in, a mirrored highway, lightning on a lane. Timing never changes, only what you see. Settings → Gameplay → Boss hazards → Mild makes them lighter and never mirrors the highway (Calm visuals does this too).
• Beat it before the timer runs out for its bounty (cash and XP, more the first time) and, the first time, its loot: a boss pedal, wardrobe pieces, the next world and a trophy for the stage creator. If time runs out it escapes.

Bosses never change your score, so leaderboards stay fair. Signed-in kills go to the boss hall of fame (fastest and most kills).

Achievements: Monster Hunter (beat a boss), Untouchable (beat one without missing during the fight), Slayer of Worlds (beat all five).

Online, the room's seed decides when the boss comes, so everyone meets it at the same moment. In band matches the whole band shares one health bar.
