The repository includes a Model Context Protocol server, mcp/server.mjs. It lets an AI client such as Claude Code or Claude Desktop browse, search, quote and typeset the book. It runs over stdio.
git clone https://github.com/The-Studio-of-Sadiq/Advanced-Chemistry
cd Advanced-Chemistry
npm installClaude Code. The repo ships a project .mcp.json, so opening the folder in Claude Code offers the server automatically. To register it globally instead:
claude mcp add advanced-chemistry -- node /absolute/path/to/Advanced-Chemistry/mcp/server.mjsClaude Desktop and other clients. Add this to the client's MCP configuration:
{
"mcpServers": {
"advanced-chemistry": {

"args": ["/absolute/path/to/Advanced-Chemistry/mcp/server.mjs"]
}

Resources use the template
book://part/{id}, which gives the Markdown of each chapter or appendix. Clients that support resources can attach a whole chapter as context. -
Prompt
explain_section(id, section)walks through a section using the book's own method: physical question → derivation → status of each principle → chemical consequence.
- "Search the book for Franck–Condon and explain the derivation in 13.x."
- "Show me Figure 12.2 and explain why cyclobutadiene is antiaromatic."
- "Build a PDF of Chapters 15 and 16 only."
