Dungeons
There are two resettable and repeatable dungeons in the Glaciers. They are the Snowflake and the Lost Station. The Snowflake is the primary boss dungeon, and contains an Iceologer Boss. The Lost Station has a captured researcher who will trade diamonds for rare and high-level items such as Shulker Boxes and Mending books. The Snowflake has a maximum party size of 4, and can be repeated up to 3 times but any runs beyond the first will grant no favour.
In order to begin the Iceologer boss fight, players must kill all of the Frosty Evokers, Pillagers, and Vindicators in the dungeon. I would recommend wearing at least a Fur Chestplate and Fur leggings, and wearing Diamond helmet or boots only if you have trouble dealing with the mobs' damage. There are plenty of Soul Campfires to help you warm up if your warmth drops too low, and many of the barrels contain medicine. The Illagers all have a chance of Dropping Fur Armour in case what you have breaks. The Frosty Evoker sucks 12 warmth per second from all players within 10 blocks, but when it dies it will distribute 2/3 of the warmth it took among all players within 25 blocks of where it died, so be sure to stand near it when it dies!
Once all of the Illagers have died, the ice square in the centre of the dungeon will break and the Iceologer will spawn. Simply jump down and try and fight the Iceologer. Be sure to dodge the Ice attack he does, it can hurt you pretty badly (and ignores armour), and will also apply a good chunk of frost damage, even if you are using the Fox Totem. Remember that the Iceologer is actually an Illusioner, and so it will turn itself invisible and summon four clones of itself. It will be located roughly in the middle of these clones, but having someone in your party with the Rabbit Totem might be really useful for locating him.
The Lost Station is a much simpler dungeon, just kill all of the Illagers. The only reward is a villager named 'Captured Researcher' who will trade for rare items, but its stock is limited. So, you must reset the dungeon if you want to trade more.
The Captured Researcher has the following trades:
- 8 Diamonds for 1 Mending Book
- 6 Iron Ingots for 1 Bottle o' Enchanting
- 12 Diamonds and 2 Regular Golden Apples for 1 Enchanted Golden Apple
- 8 Diamonds for 1 Shulker Box
