Multiplayer Features
This plugin, in addition to modifying the base game, adds some standard SMP features to improve the multiplayer experience, whether with friends or strangers.
To view and change most of these settings, use the /menu command to open the main menu.
In addition to Minecraft's game difficulty, players may choose to customize their game difficulty further. These options change the amount of damage taken by mobs.
- Easy: Take 30% less damage from mobs
- Normal (Default): Take the normal amount of damage from mobs
- Hard: Take 30% more damage from mobs
- Extra Hard: Take 60% more damage from mobs
The server owner may force players to use one of these difficulty settings if they wish. This may be set in the plugin config file.
Players may choose whether they want to opt-in to PvP. If they opt-out, they will not take damage credited from other players, and they will not be able to damage other players if the damage is credited to them. This will not stop indirect damage, such as using a button to ignite TNT next to another player. For each player, PvP is off by default.
The server owner may force all players to opt-in or opt-out of PvP if they wish. This may be set in the plugin config file.
This plugin has a diamond-backed currency used to facilitate trade between players or buy claims. This currency is tied to their account and cannot be lost. 1 diamond can be exchanged for $100, and banknotes of various amounts can be withdrawn for player trading. This allows players to store diamonds in a more secure way, which may not be desirable.
The server owner may prevent players from depositing their diamonds if they wish. This may be set in the plugin config file.
Players may organize themselves into teams. The team creator can choose the name and color of the team, invite and kick whoever they like, enable or disable PvP across the team, or delete the team if they are the only player in it. Join and manage teams by using the /team command.
The server owner may prevent teams from being created if they wish. This may be set in the plugin config file.
Players may protect chunks by claiming them. As of now, only chunks in worlds that are of an Overworld type may be claimed. Add and manage claims by using the /claim command. Two different types of claims are available to be used:
- Outposts may be placed anywhere, but are expensive to purchase ($1000). They are customized by choosing a name, color, and permissions. Players start with 1 and can have a maximum of 21.
- Claims must be connected to an outpost and be placed adjacent to it or another claim connected to it, but they are cheaper ($100). Players start with 24.
For each outpost, permissions may be set on whether everyone is allowed to do something, only the owner's teammates, or just the owner:
- Teleport: Whether players are allowed to use ender pearls or chorus fruit within the claim. This does not prevent players from using /home or portals.
- Use Switches: Whether players are allowed to modify blocks by right-clicking on them, such as levers and doors.
- Open Containers: Whether players are allowed to interact with blocks and entities in a way that could result in loss of items, such as opening chests or trying to grab a book from a lectern
- Edit World: Whether players are allowed to place or break blocks and whether they are allowed to harm passive mobs. This does not prevent players from fighting hostile mobs or other players, or prevent indirect damage against passive mobs.
Players may choose to enable Keep Inventory for themselves, so they keep their items when they die. Players can even toggle which parts of their inventory should be preserved. Note that setting the Minecraft gamerule Keep Inventory to true will override these settings.
- Armor: Preserves items in the head, chest, legs, and feet slots
- Hotbar and Offhand: Preserves the nine hotbar slots and the offhand slot
- Inventory: Preserves the 27 slots in the rest of the player's inventory
- Experience: Preserves the player's experience levels
The server owner may prevent players from enabling Keep Inventory if they wish. This may be set in the plugin config file.
Players may use this command to teleport to their spawn point. To do so, they must stand still for 5 seconds and not be combat tagged. This is recommended if claims are enabled to prevent players from being trapped in no-build zones.
The server owner may prevent players from using this command if they wish. This may be set in the plugin config file.
To prevent combat logging, or logging out in the middle of a fight, players who engage in PvP by damaging or being damaged by other players will be combat tagged for 30 seconds. During this time, they cannot disable PvP or teleport by using commands. If they log out, they will die. This is off by default.
The server owner may enable combat tagging if they wish. This may be set in the plugin config file.
