Sources and attributions

Source of truth: this wiki page.

Where the data, fonts, books and pictures come from, and the licence each one carries. The deck licences and quoted books are on Deck-Licences-and-Quoted-Books.

Sources

Most decks are written for Fluenough. Where a deck's text comes from elsewhere, the deck names the source in its source field, and the app shows it: under each passage, on the deck's page, and in Settings > Your languages > Sources.

The Bengali decks quote two books in the public domain, letter for letter:

• Sahaj Path, part 1, by Rabindranath Tagore (1930), in the public domain: passages for reading.
• Abol Tabol by Sukumar Ray (1923), in the public domain: older spellings in the spelling deck, and passages for reading to come.

The Hindi reading deck quotes a story in the public domain, letter for letter:

• Panch Parmeshwar by Premchand, as printed in Prem-Dwadashi (1926): passages for reading, checked against the page images.

The Telugu reading deck quotes a story in the public domain, letter for letter:

• Diddubatu by Gurajada Apparao (1910), as printed in Gurujadalu (2012): passages for reading, checked against the page images.

A new source gets a line here, and its decks name it in source.

The pictures on cards are from Noto Emoji, by Google, under the Apache License 2.0; the licence ships with them in assets/pictures/LICENSE.
