User Guide DNA DNA Review And Kit Manager

Manage imported DNA kits and resolve match-tree personas in your genealogical tree. Open this screen after importing autosomal, Y-DNA, or mtDNA test files to link kits to people and inspect suggested merges.
The DNA Kits section lists every imported kit with its testing company, identifier, display name, haplogroups, and connection to your tree. Unlinked kits display a Link to individual picker.
The Recently auto-merged ancestors section displays individuals whose evidence personas merged automatically during the last scan.
The Match-tree personas to review table lists imported personas from match trees that need manual review, with an Attach… button for each entry.
The Possible shared ancestors across matches table identifies potential duplicate ancestor pairs across multiple match trees, offering an Attach both to a new person action.
- Locate the unlinked kit in the DNA Kits table.
- Select the Link to individual picker on that row.
- Choose the corresponding person from your tree to assign the kit.
The row updates to show the kit linked to that person.
- Locate a kit with an assigned Y-DNA or mtDNA haplogroup in the DNA Kits table.
- Select the haplogroup button under Y-DNA Haplogroup or mtDNA Haplogroup.
The lineage viewer opens to trace the phylogenetic tree for that haplogroup.
- Find the persona in the Match-tree personas to review table.
- Select Attach….
- Choose whether to link the persona to an existing person or create a new individual.
The persona disappears from the review queue and attaches to the selected record.
- Review the proposed ancestor pair under Possible shared ancestors across matches.
- Select Attach both to a new person.
The application combines both personas into a new individual record in your tree.
- Kits marked with the Home badge represent your primary reference test files.
- The review scan runs automatically when you open the screen.
