Modules

autoDoIt loads tasks modularly. The scheduler stays small; expensive APIs live only in the file that actually needs them.

Network, hacking, and infrastructure

Area File Behaviour
Network/root tasks/root-network.js Opens available ports, roots servers, and names the missing port program or Hacking level
Worker deployment tasks/deploy-workers.js Copies minimal Hack/Grow/Weaken/Share workers to suitable servers
Hacking tasks/manage-hacking.js Selects a useful income/progression target and distributes HGW work
Starter hacking tasks/manage-hacking-lite.js Very small manager for starts below 32 GiB
Cloud servers tasks/manage-purchased-servers.js Buys small servers, banks budget, then replaces/upgrades the weakest
Hacknet tasks/manage-hacknet.js Repeatedly buys the cheapest useful improvement
Programs tasks/manage-programs.js Purchases TOR and dark-web programs through Singularity
Home RAM tasks/manage-home-ram.js Saves toward the dynamic full target and purchases RAM in batches
Home cores tasks/manage-home.js Purchases cores only after the RAM goal is reached

Player, companies, factions, and progression

Area File Behaviour
Job recommendation tasks/check-job.js Before SF4, recommends the best safely reachable job using stable v3 salaries and player stats
Jobs tasks/manage-jobs.js Applies, accepts promotions, and starts company work
Factions tasks/manage-factions.js Accepts compatible invitations and works toward the cheapest faction-specific augmentation
Augmentations tasks/manage-augmentations.js Buys specific augs first, NeuroFlux last, and installs normal augs in batches
Backdoors tasks/manage-backdoors.js Connects through discovered paths and installs important progression/faction backdoors
BitNode progress tasks/manage-progression.js Rushes the current BitNode objective and selects the next Source-File-oriented node

There is no separate Netscript faction-quest API. Invitations, requirements, work, reputation, augmentations, and important backdoors are covered by the related modules.

Special systems

Gang special/manage-gang.js Creates a gang, recruits, assigns tasks, ascends, and purchases equipment
Casino special/manage-casino.js Plays blackjack exclusively, saves wins, and reloads losses

Auto-updater tools/auto-updater.js Checks versions and starts validated updates
Full updater git-pull.js Downloads, validates, tests, and optionally starts
Lite updater git-pull-lite.js Downloads the same system with minimal RAM
Self-test tools/self-test.js Checks structure, APIs, network, and RAM without purchases or resets

Workers

workers/hack.js, grow.js, weaken.js, and share.js are deliberately minimal so network and cloud servers can run as many threads as possible. Darknet and SF‑1 use their own specialized workers.
