Genre Cloud and Infinite Mix
Orynivo offers two related discovery tools. The Genre Cloud helps you explore the taxonomy of the music you own, while Infinite Mix turns recent listening habits into an automatically replenished playback queue. Both features combine the local library with every reachable configured Orynivo Server and retain the source of every recommendation.
Open Genre Cloud in the Library section. The initial cloud contains broad genre families whose label sizes represent how much matching music is available. Select a genre to reveal more specific children and update the recommendations below it. Use the breadcrumb buttons to return to an earlier level.
Genres can belong to more than one parent. Tags that are not covered by the curated hierarchy remain available by their original name under More genres instead of being hidden in an Other category. When the selected genre has no children, it remains displayed as the large center label.
Use the segmented selector above the recommendations to change modes:
- Tracks displays a playable table. Cloud counts and label sizes represent matching tracks.
- Albums displays artwork cards. Counts and sizes represent distinct matching albums. Double-click a card to open its regular album detail page.
Back navigation restores the selected genre level, mode, selection, and scroll position. Local and remote recommendations keep the correct source for playback, favorites, artwork, and album or artist navigation.
Start Infinite Mix from the Dashboard or Up next. Initial calculation is shown in a blocking progress overlay while Orynivo loads listening affinity, available libraries, candidates, and the first queue entries.
Before starting, the compact profile editor lets you choose:
- a calm, balanced, or energetic mood;
- a familiar-to-adventurous discovery level;
- a listening-history period of 3, 7, 30, or 90 days;
- the local library and individual Orynivo Server sources;
- stronger weighting for favorites and rarely played tracks;
- optional genres to include or exclude.
Orynivo avoids tracks already in the queue and suppresses immediate track, album, and artist repetition. It initially appends 20 recommendations and automatically prepares another batch in the background when five tracks remain. The normal Up Next source badges show whether each entry is local or belongs to an Orynivo Server.
While the mix is active, Up next displays its active or paused state. You can pause or resume replenishment, adjust the profile, replace the next suggestion, and give More like this or Less like this feedback for a suggestion. Exclude track prevents the selected title from appearing in future mixes. The profile and feedback are retained between launches without persisting authenticated playback URLs. Clearing Up next stops the active mix.
