Configuration

Applies to Mystical Realms Modpack Fixes 2.0.0 for Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge).

The config file

<gamedir>/config/mystical_realms_modpack_fixes/config.toml

A common config, so on a server the same file is read by both sides. NeoForge creates it with commented defaults the first time you run.

There is no in-game configuration screen — this mod has no GUI. Editing the file is the only way, and there is nothing you need to change, because every option's default is sensible.

Options

There are exactly four, and no numeric ones, so there are no ranges to worry about.

[logfilter]

Option Type Default What it does
enabled boolean true Master switch for the log filter. When false nothing is dropped.
patterns list of strings four entries, below Any log line containing one of these substrings is dropped.

The default patterns:

Tried to load invalid item: 'Item must not be minecraft:air'
Tried to load invalid item: 'Unknown registry key
Tried to load invalid fluid:
Ignoring unknown attribute 'forge:

Matching is case-sensitive and happens against the fully formatted message, so you see the final text with its values substituted. You can put any literal string here, not just these. An empty list is valid and leaves the filter installed but inert.

The mod's own log messages are never filtered, so the filter can never hide a problem this mod caused.

[fixes]

Option Type Default What it does
enableNetherReturnPortalFix boolean true Remember portal pairings so you return through the portal you left by. false restores vanilla's closest-portal routing.
enableDangerousBossHealthFix boolean true Keep Apotheosis-affixed boss health scaling linear. false restores Dangerous NeoForge's original behaviour, which inflates exponentially over time.

The options that do not exist

Five of the eight patches have no configuration at all and cannot be switched off:

  • the Iris and Sodium crash fix
  • the malformed entity name fix
  • the Better Party crash guard
  • the corrupted health and absorption guard
  • the Spanish villager dialogue overlay

The last one is effectively self-disabling: without Better Villager Animations, without es_es, or without the translation resource pack, it does nothing.

To disable any of these five you have to remove the mod.

One startup caveat

The log filter is installed from the mod's constructor, which runs before NeoForge has loaded the config file. For a brief moment at startup it therefore behaves as if every option were at its default, whatever your file says. The real values are picked up immediately afterwards.

This is deliberate — reading a config value before it is loaded throws an exception that would abort mod loading — but it means a change to enabled takes effect a fraction of a second later rather than instantly.

If you had the old config file

Before 2.0.0 the file lived at:

config/utility_nexus/fixes/config.toml

It is not migrated. Re-apply anything you had changed by hand and delete the old file. In particular, the old file has no enableDangerousBossHealthFix key at all, because that patch did not exist when it was written.
