Java 21.
None. The mod loads and works on its own — though with only Waystones absent you get just the recipe selector.
All three are checked at runtime with ModList and integrated with only if present. None is a hard
dependency.
| Mod | What it gets | Without it |
|---|---|---|
| Waystones | The Waystone Beam | Beam disabled, logged, nothing registered. Mod still loads. |
| Polymorph | This mod suppresses its own selector where Polymorph's appears (PolymorphCompat) |
Polymorph's own selector is used instead — no duplicate button. |
| Tom's Storage | Crafting Terminal support (TomsStorageRecipeSelectorAdapter, MixinCraftingTerminalBlockEntity) |
Selector does not appear in Tom's Storage terminals. |
The mod logs what it found at client setup, for example:
Tom's Storage not present - Crafting Terminal recipe selector compat disabled
Waystones not present - Waystone Beacon Beam disabled
So if a feature is missing, the log says which integration is absent rather than leaving you to guess.
The Waystone Beam is gated twice — the config flag and the ModList check — and the renderer is
registered only after the check passes. That means it is safe to leave on by default in a pack where
some players do not have Waystones installed: for them it does nothing, and it does not crash.
See Waystone Beam.
The selector detects conflicts in the vanilla crafting table and inventory grid, plus Tom's Storage crafting terminals via an explicit adapter.
A mod with a bespoke crafting GUI that the mod has no integration for will not show the selector.
That is a coverage limit, not a bug — the mods with custom crafting UIs each do it differently, and
integrating them is per-mod work. Polymorph is the opposite case: it ships its own selector, so this
mod deliberately gets out of the way there rather than adding a second button.
If you find one worth supporting, that is the shape of the work: an adapter that exposes the container's recipe lookup and the result slot.
The startup log reports 1.1.0 regardless of the actual version. The version constant in the code
is hardcoded and lags behind the build; the branch is on 1.1.3.
So if you install 1.1.3 and the log says 1.1.0, nothing is wrong with your install — the log line is
just wrong. Cosmetic, but confusing when you are checking which build you have.
| Feature | Side |
|---|---|
| Waystone Beam | client only — not synced, other players do not see it |
| Recipe Selector | server and client — session choices sync both ways |
None. No blocks, items, recipes or world data. Uninstalling leaves saves untouched.
15 Java classes. Small enough to read in an evening, which is worth something when a mod is doing something to your crafting UI.
