The IPVS plugin extracts statistics from IP Virtual Server (IPVS), the transport-layer load-balancer of the Linux Virtual Server (LVS) project. It stores traffic and connections history for each of the Real Servers (RS) behind a local Virtual Server (VS). collectd must be run on Directors (in LVS jargon).

Dependencies

  • <net/ip_vs.h> or <ip_vs.h> These header files are part of the Linux kernel. To build this plugin, you need to install the kernel headers or the kernel sources and make sure the configure script looks in the right place. By default the configure script looks in "/lib/modules/`uname -r`/source". You can use the KERNEL_DIR environment variable to customize this behavior.
