Confirm that the panel itself works before applying the theme. Use the exact Pterodactyl base named in the release notes and the repository's compatibility information. The supported PHP versions are listed there as well.
You need:
- Root or equivalent shell access to the panel host
- A working Pterodactyl Panel installation
- A current database backup
- A copy of
/var/www/pterodactyl/.env - Enough free disk space for a complete panel backup and release archive
- Working Composer access and the standard PHP extensions required by Pterodactyl
| Method | Best for | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Shell manager | Most installations | Verifies checksums, creates backups, and supports rollback |
| Manual release archive | Experienced operators | Gives full control over every command |
| Container image | Container deployments | Published for linux/amd64 and linux/arm64
|
| Source build | Contributors | Requires Node.js, Yarn, Composer, and a development database |
