Camp Radio and Settlements
Put a Radio Transmitter under a complete Rotwire tarp or inside a supported SimplyTents shelter to turn it into a persistent Camp Radio. An unsheltered transmitter still opens the Survivor Network.

Keep these two things inside the same shelter:
- the Radio Transmitter;
- a Traveler's Backpack sleeping bag.
Then, within the campsite radius, add:
- a lit campfire or soul campfire; and
- any inventory-capable block containing food.
Food can be split between containers. The total must be more than 5 nutrition by default.
Open Camp Radio // Operations to see the shelter, coverage, sleeping bag, fire, food container, nutrition, and network checks. The panel points out what is missing.
The radio calibrates after placement. In a Lost Cities zone it also surveys the city grid; both jobs must finish before the radio connects. The first Survivor Network setup delivery includes a Tarp.
Rotwire supports its complete tarp plus these SimplyTents families: Tunnel, Wall, Canopy, Zip-Up, Compact, Small Tipi, Duo, Large, Tipi, and Yurt. The radio and sleeping bag must be in the same shelter. The fire and food containers only need to be within the campsite radius.
Once the camp is active and the radio is connected, the owner can install one extension from each category:
| Extension | What it does |
|---|---|
| Quartermaster Cache | Adds 27 storage slots and receives courier deliveries first. |
| Field Workshop | Uses a Field Repair Kit to restore 25% of an item's maximum durability. |
| Operations Relay | Reports weather, nearby hostiles, city danger, and courier traffic. It also extends radio access across the camp. |
Ward, Reed, and Vale offer repeatable replacement contracts. Dismantling the radio drops installed modules and cached items safely.
In a mapped Lost Cities zone, the first complete Camp Radio becomes the city's primary hub. Name it through the Camp Hub. Later radios in that city become relays and share the settlement's population, rations, upgrades, and siege state.
Install a Camp Hub Module at the named primary hub to start settlement management. Food in inventory-capable containers inside active camps contributes to the shared ration stockpile. Only loaded camp chunks count.
The Survivors panel is available at an online primary hub.
- Civilians need stored rations and a safe open space in the camp.
- Settlement Riflemen need the Camp Hub, stored rations, 7.62x51 ammunition, and a safe spawn space.
- Rally All Survivors sends loaded survivors back to the main shelter.
Survivors consume rations each Minecraft day. A relay does not automatically replace a broken primary hub.
Next: open contracts or map and clear the city.
