About The Project
"All life on Earth shares one common ancestor" is one of the most repeated lines in biology. Testing the Tree doesn't tell you whether that's true or false. It hands you the actual reasoning — one piece at a time — and lets you see where it holds up and where it gets shaky.
Each game attacks a different link in the chain:
- Could life even start by chance? → Origin of Life Gamble

Anyone curious, skeptical, or just bored and looking for a genuinely interesting way to spend five minutes. You don't need to know what a phylogenetic tree is before you start — each game teaches you enough as you go.
It's not a debate about creationism vs. evolution, and it doesn't hand you a verdict at the end. It's closer to a magic trick explained: once you've seen how the reasoning is built, you can judge it for yourself — and you'll probably start noticing the same kind of reasoning (and the same kind of assumptions) in all sorts of other places.
If you like a story with an ending, start with One, Few, or Many? — it's the shortest and the most direct argument.
If you like hands-on tinkering, start with the Cytochrome-C-Challenge — it's real data, not a simulation.
