RuneTools 1.7.7
Clue scanning
- Scan markers now read the game's own coordinate marker. Type-13 scene entities are exposed and classified.
- No more false "SOLVED" carried over from a previous clue. Eliminated spots are keyed by area, so a second scan
clue in an area already finished that session opened pre-solved on the old dig tile. An area's eliminations are
now cleared when its clue leaves your backpack. - Fixed a compass clue being misread as a scan when a resolved spot list was already present.
Maps
- Sharper at every zoom. Map resolution follows what's actually on screen instead of a fixed ceiling, and the
window narrows as you zoom in so the image stays within budget. Scan maps were being upscaled by nearly half. - Labels, the tile grid, dig and scan markers, and hover targets are measured in screen pixels, so they no longer
shrink as the terrain gets sharper. The tile grid had been thin enough to vanish at some zooms. - Zooming holds its centre when a re-fetch changes the window.
Teleports
- 61 duplicate destinations removed. Matching now keys on the item behind a row rather than its source label, and
ignores floor, which is how pairs like Dragon trinkets and Tirannwn quiver were hiding. Where two routes
genuinely reach one tile (a fairy code from the ring network and from a portable, a boss lair via both the
grouping system and the portal) they collapse into a single marker naming both. - Dragon trinkets renumbered. The menu was modelled as submenus; it's flat with seven options, so every option
number it printed was wrong. - 68 rows now actually check the item. Imported rows carried an icon where a requirement was meant, so they
reported themselves usable no matter what you were carrying. This includes rows whose icon is a family item but
whose requirement is a different one: Enchanted Jewellery rows needing an amulet of nature, passing bracelet or
delver's anklet. - Games necklace to Burgh de Rott is gated on In Aid of the Myreque.
- Arc Journal destinations are marked charge-gated rather than freely available; Port Sarim is filed under the
journal and needs no charges. - TokKul-Zo no longer prints a charge count, since those charges are spent in combat rather than by teleporting.
- Slayer cape keybinds corrected, cape variants recognised, and Passage of the abyss reads per-slot so two stacks
no longer show one stack's charges.
Archaeology
- Active Relics tab. The monolith's active preset and its three harnessed powers, with names resolved live from
the cache. Other panels can now state relic effects as fact instead of hedging.
Items and interfaces
- Instance vars read the slot you hover. Two stacks of the same item hold different instance vars; every read
used to return the first stack's. - Essence of Finality shows its stored special attack and charge percentage.
- Interface text that a row ellipsizes is carried in full in the tooltip, keeping the game's line breaks.
Input
- Ctrl+Backspace no longer types a square. Control characters were reaching the panel as text and being inserted
as .notdef glyphs. They're now dropped, and Ctrl+Backspace deletes the previous word in the panel search. - Keyboard layout changes are forwarded to the embedded game. Layout is per-thread on Windows, and the detached
game never saw the switch, which could make its keybind config name a different key than the one being pressed.
Puzzle boxes
- Solver tables are built at start-up rather than on the first box, so opening one is instant. A bridge that
wasn't ready yet no longer latches as "tables missing" for the rest of the session.
Fixes
- The teleport marker layer no longer disappears wholesale when one row fails; a single error used to take out
every marker on the map. - Lodestone panel shows quick-charge state and remaining charges.
RuneTools 1.7.6
Plugin SDK
- Fixed plugin varc reads always returning 0. Plugins can now read client-side values such as course timers correctly.
- Plugins can now resolve the Serenity pose window's on-screen position, and other players' animations and planes are included in scene reads.
Agility Courses plugin (updated separately in the Plugin Hub, v1.6.0)
- Three new trackers: Het's Oasis, the Wilderness course and Prifddinas (Hefin), joining Anachronia, Burthorpe and Gnome Stronghold.
- Shortcut awareness: Het's crocodile chains (with fade warnings), the Hefin window and roof light creature, all marked in the world when worth taking.
- Wilderness fail handling: pit climb-out guidance, re-attempt tracking, and a warning when a fall could kill you at your current life points.
- Hefin velocity and lap timer readouts, plus a Serenity Posts mode that shows the correct pose and boxes the matching choice until you are holding it.
Panels
- Ports: redesigned into the standard card layout with a summary header, icon grids and aligned tiers.
- Lodestones: shows your quick teleport charges and whether quick teleports are enabled.
- Scene: tiles now display as (x, y, plane), player animations are listed, the range slider reaches 64 tiles, and the empty state says whether you are out of range or simply not in game.
- Interfaces: the Serenity and Hefin interface groups are now named.
RuneTools 1.7.5
Plugin Hub
- Agility, Big Game Hunter, Havenhythe, Ports, and Zygomites now ship as plugins instead of built-in panels. Find them in the Plugin Hub.
- Navigation consolidated: single-entry categories open directly; Quests and Achievements are back at the top level.
- Fixed the Browse tab freezing the client while fetching the plugin list or installing a plugin (both now run in the background).
- Fixed Browse showing "No plugins available yet." when the plugin list simply had not loaded; the client now keeps retrying and shows a clear message if runetools.io cannot be reached.
Connectivity
- Fixed all client networking (updater, Plugin Hub, world event reporting, party sync) timing out on networks with broken IPv6. The client now falls back to IPv4 automatically.
Quests
- Quests with a visual step-by-step guide now show a searchable "Guided" badge.
Guides and overlays
- Guide marks carry their plane end to end, and area marks draw level with the walk surface.
- Agility guide boxes whole obstacles instead of single tiles.
Ports
- Slim Ports panel returns to the client, with ports state available to plugins via the SDK.
Icons
- Filled every renderable gap in the item icon pack, added model-rendered interface icons, and added the Fish Flingers fish.
RuneTools 1.7.4
Agility Course: Burthorpe added
-
The panel now covers both courses behind a dropdown. Burthorpe is its seven obstacles read from the cache, with progress from the game's own counter and its own lap count.
-
Paired obstacles target the start object. Balancing ledge, Monkey bars and Ledge each have a start and an end, and the course runs one way, so picking the nearer of the two was actively wrong: standing past an obstacle pointed you back at its far end. Two of the three were aiming at the end object, including Ledge where the start and end share a tile and only the floor separates them.
-
Switching course used to flash and do nothing. The panel rebuilt its whole DOM every tick, so a repaint between mousedown and mouseup destroyed the button and the click never fired. It now redraws only when something actually changed, which also fixes the start-side buttons.
-
The course picker uses the client's own dropdown, so it matches the theme rather than opening a system-styled popup.
-
Leaving the tab clears the in-world highlight, instead of leaving the last obstacle boxed while you work in another panel.
Teleport requirements
-
Every task-set reward teleport now requires its tier. Eighteen destinations across seven rewards were gated only on holding the item, so they showed no task progress at all: the Tirannwn quiver, Ardougne cloak, Desert amulet, Karamja gloves, Morytania legs, Fremennik sea boots and Varrock armour. The tier comes from each reward's own name, so all four tiers of a family stay consistent.
-
Leela's favour requires Pharaoh's Folly across all five district destinations.
-
Hazelmere's signet ring gains Dwarven Outpost, gated on the Dark Facet of Luck, which is what makes the option appear on the ring at all. Luck of the Dwarves gains both Grand Exchange and Dwarven Outpost, and its option numbers are corrected: it has four destinations, not the signet ring's five, because it has no Hazelmere option.
-
Both imbued luck rings now count. Their names keep an "(i)" suffix that the item matcher does not strip, so wearing one previously read as not holding the ring and failed every one of its teleports.
Interfaces
-
Three Fish Flingers windows report their on-screen position: the live scoreboard, competition details, and Discovered Ratings. Without this their components can be read but not located, so nothing can box part of them.
-
Interface references in the decompiled scripts now carry the group's name. The dump prints raw ids like
/* if 517:12 */29,202 times; 4,133 of them now read/* if 517:12 Bank */, keeping the id intact so nothing becomes harder to search.
RuneTools 1.7.3
New panel: Anachronia Agility Course
-
All 52 obstacles and the seven sections come from the cache, with each section's tier and Agility requirement (Beginner 30, Novice 50, Advanced 70, Master 85). Route order was cross-checked obstacle by obstacle against the game's own section listing.
-
Progress is read from the game itself, not estimated: every section has its own obstacle mask, so the panel knows exactly which obstacles you have taken, plus lap progress, total laps, and lap time down to the game tick (mm:ss is only a rounded display, so ticks is what shows a real improvement).
-
The next obstacle is highlighted in game and named with its loc id and tile. It targets a section entry rather than whatever happens to be nearest, since a section only scores as a consecutive run and seven obstacles share the name "Cliff face".
-
Choose which end of the loop to start from: auto, north or south. Sections above your level are skipped, so a lower-level account is routed back to the other beginner end for its partial lap instead of being pointed at a section it cannot use.
Teleport requirements
-
Every requirement now shows its own green or red status with your live progress: skill levels against your level, quests resolved by quest id, achievement task sets judged from their tasks with an x/y count, and outfits requiring all five pieces with worn progress.
-
Fairy rings check the unlock each ring code actually needs, taken from the game's own availability resolver. Spirit tree destinations check whether the tree is grown or unlocked, including the Path of Glouphrie and three-grown-trees cases.
-
Charges are read from where the game keeps them: the spirit tree re-rooter, all four locator variants, and the daily teleport counters for all seven modified skilling hats. A row with nothing left gates like any other unmet requirement.
-
Spell teleports bind to their cache entry, so spellbook, Magic level, rune costs, purchase unlocks and icons all come from the game. Livid Farm spells report whether the spell was bought.
-
Removed content taken out: the Warband camp destination, the minigame group-finder destinations, Deathmatch, Stealing Creation, Dungeoneering and Shifting Tombs.
-
Fixes: the cabbage-port needs Explorer's ring 3 and Lumbridge medium tasks, Big Book o' Piracy needs Pieces of Hate, Wilderness sword destinations need their task tier, the Enchanted lyre gained its missing destinations, and several arrival planes.
RuneTools 1.7.2
Player-Owned Ports crew planner
-
"Moves to make" finishes one ship at a time, starting with the ship whose crew window is already open, instead of bouncing between ships - and any step that needs a different crew window says so on its line.
-
A removal and a placement on the same ship merge into a single "replace X" step, matching what one assign action actually does in game.
-
Refit suggestions can equip the same owned deck item in both deck slots (two Large Crates of Food beats a Large and a Small), and ties between equally scoring parts go to the part with more raw stats.
New panel: Ancient Zygomites
- Anachronia island map with all 60 hidden zygomites: numbered route markers with live found/discovered/pulled state read from the game's own tracking, hover directions for each one, a filterable route list, and a progress bar.
New panel: Anachronia - base camp management
- At a glance: all six resources (current/cap, with the cap following your Storehouse tier), workers per resource with gather rates and "full in ..." estimates, and every building's upgrade tier, current effect, and next-tier cost coloured by what you can afford.
Teleport requirements
- Spell teleports now check the full real requirements: correct spellbook, Magic level, the spell's unlock, and runes on hand (backpack, every rune pouch variant, combination runes counting as both elements, and the Time rune). Grace of the Elves destinations require an attuned Max Guild portal. Item teleports require the item worn or carried. Added Leela's favour, the Mazcab teleport tablet, both Anachronia spells and Northern Lost Grove with their real icons. Teleports sharing a tile stack correctly again with one combined tooltip, and marker stacks keep clear of the dig spot. Removed the wicked hood's discontinued altar teleports and the Goebie rangers (travel NPCs, not teleports).
Clues
- Talk-clue NPC outlines fixed for four targets whose names didn't match the game exactly; dig maps show island-scale context; compass solutions show while the needle spins; stale dig markers clear when a clue becomes a puzzle box; contradictory scan readings reset eliminations.
Leagues
- Task browser rebuilt from cache data (real task text, correct tiers/points, region filters), relic icons with picked talents highlighted and "choice available" hints, themed dropdowns.
Player-Owned Ports
- Same-named voyages disambiguated with their in-list position, captain placed first in the move order, plan dump button.
World Map + rendering
- Coastlines blend smoothly into water; bridges, piers and the Daemonheim platform render their real ground; dozens of new labels across the Wushanko Isles, Anachronia, the City of Um region, the Lost Grove and Mazcab.
Storage & general
- Rune pouch reading fixed, Time rune named, clue carrier shows sealed clue icons per tier; the Group Bank tab only shows for group ironman accounts.

New panel: World Map (World)
-
The full game world rendered from your own cache: drag to pan, scroll to zoom (crisp from whole-region overview down to per-tile detail), floors 0-3.
-
Search jumps to any place name, teleport destination (~800, with item/spell and keybind), lodestone, hidey-hole, your own tile markers, or a raw x,y coordinate.
-
Toggleable layers: place labels, lodestones (live unlock state), teleport markers, hidey-holes (built/stocked state), and your tile markers.
-
Your position draws live, with a Follow mode and a "You" recenter button; clicking a tile pins it with its coordinates and nearest landmark.
-
Ground terrain is smoothly shaded per pixel instead of flat per tile, markers and icons draw at native scale.
Teleport markers (World Map + clue maps)
-
Teleports you can't use right now show faded with the actual reason ("wrong spellbook", "needs 85 Magic").
-
Keybind badges on the clue maps too, including keys embedded in teleport names.
Player-Owned Ports
-
New progression guide with live goals along the region ladder, a crew planner and a refit optimizer. (still needs work)
-
The Arc: a daily chime limit tracker - chimes earned from sales today out of 20,000, with a progress bar and the reset countdown.
Clues
-
Tetracompass solving added and assorted clue panel fixes.
-
Storage panel reads the Passage of the abyss (charges + stored jewellery, with icons).
Settings
- Panel settings now persist reliably across restarts (the browser storage backing the panels previously reset on every launch).
Developer
- New Cache Explorer panel: browse and search enums, structs, dbtables, items and vars from the live cache, with persistent scans and readable output.
