Focus and Solve settings are saved per Pier, so each telescope keeps its own defaults — choose the Pier in the top bar first. Star Atlas horizons belong to the selected Observatory. Imaging, Planning, Library and Plugins apply to all of Galileo.
Describes your horizon: the trees, buildings and hills that block the sky. Upload a text file of azimuth/altitude pairs or edit the table by hand. The Star Atlas shades the obstructions when Horizon is ticked, and What's Up Tonight takes them into account.
- Do not slew where obstructed — refuses any slew into the horizon you described, from any screen or from a sequence.
- Cache All Catalog Thumbnails — downloads sky-survey pictures for the whole catalog ahead of time so Targets shows them instantly. It can take hours and can be cancelled and resumed.

How plate solving runs for the Pier: the ASTAP program's location, a field-of-view hint, search radius and downsample factor.
Where your images live and how the Library behaves, on four tabs:
| Tab | What it covers |
|---|---|
| General | Incoming and repository folders, temporary folder, FITS compression, the external FITS viewer, and which warnings to skip. |
| Cloud Sync | Google Cloud Storage bucket, authentication file, sync profile and auto-cleanup. |
| Calibration | How many frames are needed to build a master calibration frame automatically. |
| Smart Telescopes | Accounts for downloading images from iTelescope and from an SFTP server, and the address of a Celestron Origin. iTelescope's certificate is verified by default; there is a tick box to turn that off if your connection fails with a certificate error. |
Install, enable, disable and remove plugins, and browse the plugin marketplace. See the Plugin Developers Guide if you want to write one.
