Contributing

Ideas, bug reports, translations and code are all welcome. Please read CONTRIBUTING.md before you start. In short:

  • Every change goes through a pull request and needs a maintainer's approval before it is merged. Nobody pushes directly to main.
  • Fill in the pull request template. Confirm you have the right to submit the work under GPL-3.0-only, and say whether AI tools helped write it (tick exactly one box). AI-assisted changes get a security review and a logic review before merge.
  • Tests and builds for the areas you touched must pass. Use DS_SKIP_VERSION_BUMP=1 npm run build in pull requests so the version does not change.
  • Add a note under ## [Unreleased] in CHANGELOG.md when users will notice the change, written in plain words about what they see.

Good first contributions

  • Translations: see docs/LOCALIZATION.md.
  • Help Center improvements and fixes to confusing wording.
  • Bug reports with steps to reproduce and your Drama Studio version (Settings › Updates shows it).

Security

Do not report security problems in public issues or pull requests. Use private vulnerability reporting as described in the security policy.
