Updates

Starting with version 0.6.7, Drama Studio keeps itself up to date. Older versions need one manual install of 0.6.7 from the releases page; after that, updates arrive on their own.

How it works

Drama Studio checks for a new version shortly after it starts and again every few hours.

Your copy	What happens
Windows installer, Linux AppImage	The new version downloads in the background. A notice says when it is ready: click Restart now, or keep working and it installs the next time you quit. Your project is saved before the restart.
Windows portable, Linux deb, Mac	These cannot replace themselves. A notice tells you a new version is out, and Get the update opens the download page.

Settings › Updates

• See which version you have.
• Check now at any time.
• Turn off Download updates automatically if you want to choose when to download. You can still check and download by hand.

Where updates come from

Updates come only from the official releases of this repository, and every download is checked against the checksum published with the release before it is installed. Published releases cannot be changed afterwards.
