Development Journal
John approved direct staging implementation for #31. Published a simple branded /admin landing and clearly labeled synthetic-data analytics preview, with Prod/Staging tabs, 7/28/90-day comparisons, 1/2/3 widget columns, metric definitions, traffic/content/event/device/location widgets and operations shortcuts. Preserved the navigation/theme revision previously shown on staging. PR #48 holds the work; staging deployment 37015476958 succeeded at d2065ffc52b5345e00fb23a87c0fb22f330c842e. Local dual builds, links, analytics isolation and five backend security/mapping tests passed; desktop browser controls and saved preferences verified.
A proposed Cloudflare Access/Worker + least-privilege GA4 Data API backend is prepared but not provisioned. No private reports or credentials are in public output; production excludes the sample dashboard. Authentication/account provisioning, live report reconciliation, deployed access/revocation, source/deploy and independent health integrations, and physical Fold6 checks remain. #31 stays open. Operations requirements and next steps.
John authorized the final launch. Published the launch article and audience-specific social drafts; added V1/V2 split thumbnail, actual screenshot, existing About portrait fallback, reusable AI-assistance disclosure, featured launch placement, search, SEO metadata, and dual-configuration CI/link checks. Native master → main rename and PR #44 production promotion completed; Pages and HTTPS verified. Both repo READMEs/details and wiki release status updated. Sharing reminders created for October 2 and October 5 mornings. V2 launch holds source/deployment SHAs, evidence, recovery and limitations. Google Photos secure sign-in did not complete; physical Fold6 and broader operations remain follow-ups. Earlier entries below are history.
v2 at 4bd9d60ebe07493902e3ac1b5e01faca1f9bfbc3 is live on staging. Canonical build and Pages deployment 36959030691 passed. Live build-info confirms the exact v2 revision. Browser verification confirms the dedicated Education heading, loaded official UCF mark, university name, Class of 2008, Bachelor of Arts in English and Technical Writing Track. The résumé enhancement from PR #40 is integrated. Requirements, Decision Log, Journal and Roadmap updates were independently fetched and compared with the prepared pages. Staging remains set to v2. Physical Fold6 review and production promotion remain separate release checks.
John approved the reviewed résumé prototype (“Love it, make it happen”) and authorized integration and wiki updates. PR #40 is merged into v2 at 7b04338ababbfae33ed22cf80f223b7f4fa0811f. Reviewed feature revision: f645c66efcd49909e2abf10c6dc1b62716e9df60. Staging selection is restored to v2. Education is a dedicated section with equivalent heading weight, an official UCF stacked black mark, University of Central Florida, Class of 2008, Bachelor of Arts in English and Technical Writing Track; committed at 4bd9d60ebe07493902e3ac1b5e01faca1f9bfbc3 following John’s request to give the degree appropriate prominence.
- Preserve the existing
/resume/page composition and desktop identity/contribution columns, 32px gap and 20px vertical row padding. The approved enrichment adds content height without compressing the existing spacing. - Each role now has a source-grounded impact statement and concise contribution summary, industry/team context, clickable work-type and technology badges, and expandable work details. The warm canyon palette, restrained raised surfaces and Bootstrap-style view controls remain consistent with the site.
- Chronology is the default: six recent roles, with PatientPoint, Pentaho and EA Tiburon available under earlier experience. Group by primary work type or industry; all nine selected roles participate in filtering and grouped views.
- Work type, industry, department/team and technology facets combine with AND. The filter panel starts collapsed. Badge clicks expose the corresponding facet. Copy view link preserves selections and anchors the recipient at experience. Reload and browser Back/Forward restore URL state; empty combinations have a clear recovery message.
- URL parameters are
view=type|industry, work, industry, team, tech, andearlier=1. Chronology is implicit. Reset clears facets while retaining grouping. Unknown values are ignored, and unrelated parameters are retained. - Mobile rows use a stacked timeline, wrapping badges, expandable details and a compact wrapping toolbar. Physical Fold6 visual confirmation remains pending; the connected review browser did not provide responsive viewport resizing.
- Evidence comes from the September 29 résumé and September 8 saved LinkedIn export. Live LinkedIn blocked retrieval. The work-sample packet's copied Bitbucket material in its Airbnb section was excluded from new Airbnb claims. Only supported metrics were included (PatientPoint 200+ users across two countries; EA 250+ wiki pages; Atlassian more than 10 external presentations). Team labels identify documented functional context rather than guessed official org names.
Canonical feature PR CI and feature staging build/deployment passed. Live browser checks verified all three views, combined facets, badge toggling, empty state, reset, earlier-experience persistence, reload, Back and Copy view link; desktop spacing and absence of horizontal overflow were verified. Résumé · Implementation notes.
The prototype's original draft/pending statements are historical and superseded by this approval record. Production promotion remains a separately approved release step. Next sequence remains site-wide search #26, toolbar refinement #38, then release checks.

- Context: John requested a staging issue before v2 development and a separate wiki for ongoing requirements, decisions, configurations, and the roadmap.
- Completed: Created #25, linking staging to v2 and the broader delivery strategy. Established this wiki's navigation, phase-based roadmap, decision log, configuration baseline, and contributor/AI session protocol.
- Preserved: The existing V2 requirements, including exact approved homepage text and the responsive prototype scope. This entry does not replace that page's detailed requirements.
-
Verified: Inspected existing wiki content and site source at
5e9afa9. Published the development record through the authenticated GitHub web interface after terminal Git authentication was blocked by network policy. Live DNS/HTTPS and deployment settings were not checked in this session. - Open: Staging approach, v2 platform, remaining design choices, and delivery dates. See the requirements and relevant issues for details.
- Next: Resolve #25 and coordinate with #21 before implementing the responsive homepage prototype. Design exploration may continue.
- Writing angle: How a personal site balances hiring needs with useful public resources, and how a shared project record supports work across AI sessions.

Implemented on v2 at b6f9217, retaining Jekyll/Editorial. Exact introduction, circular portrait, persistent navigation and desktop introduction, normally scrolling square grid, mobile stacking, and professional/download access are in place. Applied the canyon palette update received during implementation.
Safe local Jekyll build and 21-page staging checks passed. Chromium passed 17 viewport sizes, including Fold6 cover/unfolded portrait/landscape, same-page folding/resizing, keyboard skip navigation, 200% text sizing overflow, local links/assets/PDF, and square-card geometry. Local Ruby 3.2 needed scratch-only compatibility helpers; unmodified Ruby 2.7 CI remains canonical.
Prototype review guide, test matrix, and screenshots. Galaxy Z Fold/Fold6 is now a required review class. Physical Fold6 Samsung Internet/Chrome testing remains pending.
Next: review card curation/grouping/order, typography, final palette roles, imagery, and Work label before extending other pages. Confirm Threads URL and refresh downloads (#27). Writing temporarily anchors to the grid; Work and About use existing pages. Broader accessibility/multi-browser testing and search remain open. #23 stays open; staging HTTPS remains #28. Production publishing configuration is untouched.
Writing angle: evolving a static-site foundation while accommodating concurrent requirements changes, and distinguishing responsive simulations from physical foldable validation.
