Odroid is a single board computer (SBC) that is 16 times more powerful than the [Raspberry Pi B+](Raspberry Pi). The U3 model sports a quad-core Samsung Exynos 1.7Ghz ARM processor and 2GB of RAM. Unlike the Pi is also supports an clock battery for keeping time.

Setting up Odroid in a Laptop Configuration

TODO: Migrate kodos to rigel

To do the hardware part, please read How to Build an Odroid Hacktop

Once all that is done we can start with the software installation, assuming you created an SD card with an Odroid Debian Wheezy image on it. (See SD Card Formatting and Image Mounting.)

With that done, go to this page to continue the setup.

Why Odroid over RPi?

  • Raspberry Pi has difficulty doing things like running a MongoDB server.
