systemd

systemd is a suite of system management daemons, libraries, and utilities designed as a central management and configuration platform for the Linux computer operating system. Described by its authors as a "basic building block" for an operating system, systemd aims to replace the Linux init system (the first process executed in user space during the Linux startup process) inherited from UNIX System V and Berkeley Software Distribution (BSD).

However, not all of the big shots in the Linux Community are on board with it. Patrick Volkerding of [Slackware Linux](Slackware Linux) is not in favor of it. Mark Shuttleworth of Ubuntu Linux said he thinking about it. And at least four different members of the Debian Technical Committee resigned after some kind of drama. And Lennart Poettering, one of the lead developers of systemd decided to vent his frustrations on Linux creator Linus Torvalds and other kernel developers. Needless to say there was a whole bunch or Internet drama in 2014 over this issue which lead to the creation of uselessd.

Frankly, I don't give a crap. I just want to make a distro that works. I don't care about "philosophies". (Remember History of the World: Part I where Mel Brook and that lady from Maude meet each other at the Welfare line. "Occupation?" "Philosopher." "Oh so you're a bullshitter! Did you bullshit today? Did you bullshit yesterday? Here's your check.")

TLDR: Yeah, I'm going to use systemd. Hate me for not following your specific brand of "bullshit". I'm looking forward to making a good distro.
