Oh, you got a Mac. How cute.

Does it do anything but make your ego look bigger?

Fun fact: That computer that is supposed to be a "Revolution in Technology" has had the same style for over 10 years now, uses technology that was introduced about five years ago, and you will pay thousands for a computer that if it weren't for that glowing Apple logo on the back (which anyone can make) would be worth about a couple hundred dollars.

Here's why Rigel won't make anything to cater specifically to Mac users:

1. YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE USING LINUX! You downloaded Rigel Linux (either as Kang or Kodos), not some free version of OS X. Run Rigel off a Thumbdrive or SD Card if you have to.
2. Don't pester me about "Why doesn't (insert software here) compile with Clang?" Most Linux distros still use GCC. FreeBSD uses Clang. Go try FreeBSD.
3. I'm broke. Seeing as how I've been unemployed and on Social Security for the past few years with nobody hiring me for my skills, guess who has two thumbs and practically no money. THIS GUY! If you happen to be an accountant, let's talk about how I can make some money until some employer isn't too afraid to hire a guy who lacks some social skills and doesn't think Open Source Software is profitable. (Tell that to Redhat, Cannocal, IBM, Oracle, Google, HP, and a list of other big companies and small startups!)
4. Laptops are cheap and can be built by the part! I'm a huge advocate for hacktops! Remember a few years back there was that story about how there was this kid in Africa who was practically building a wind and solar power grid to power his home and later his community with all the e-Waste that we supposedly "recycle" but actually export to Africa? Ever seen the movie Blankman? Thanks to [single-board computers](Single-board computer) and the collapse of the Lapdock industry, you can build your own Hacktop like me! In fact I have the instructions for how to do that for Odroid and Raspberry Pi. The hard part is finding the USB and HDMI wires to link all the parts together. I'd much rather buy them than solder them. But I'll talk more about that on the SBC page.
5. Today's Mac isn't like to Old Mac. The Macs that I grew up with in the 1990s (which had specs better than PCs) aren't the same as the Macs that exist today (sells the "we're better than PCs" but isn't, plus you can't mod without voiding some warranty.)
6. Owning a Mac or any iProduct DOESN'T make you a "hacker". In fact, the Hacking Community has a name for people who think they are "0MG, IM 1337 h4x0rz. I h4z 4 Guy Fawks Mask! IM ANONYMOUS!". It's "script kiddie" or "skiddie" for short. While Metasploit is a great way to learn the basics of hacking, you're nothing unless you are creative, can social engineer, and most importantly know how NOT to get busted. Most of the hackers really can't stand that most of skiddies took advice on how to hack from Hollywood films like Hackers, Scorpion, or Blackhat. It's all Hollywood magic. In fact just talking about it online (like here) is enough to raise a few eyebrows. (Hi, NSA! Hi, FBI!) You really want to roll with the pros? Learn how all this crap works, right down to the last bit. Also, don't use a Mac to hack. NSA bugs.
