Future work

Explore planned improvements for the Magento 2 and Adobe Commerce plugin. Each roadmap describes the problems to solve, proposed priorities, and acceptance criteria. These plans are not a list of released features.

MCP and AI

Make existing AI-assisted workflows more reliable, and extend them through continuous research into real developer problems. New capabilities should be backed by evidence, validated against representative tasks, and judged by better outcomes rather than the number of tools.

Upgrade Compatibility Tool (UCT)

Prioritize trustworthy upgrade findings and reliable analysis, then improve scan scope and method-signature checks. Research GraphQL compatibility after validating concrete needs. The roadmap includes an importance assessment of current issues, evidence gaps, and acceptance criteria.

Adobe Commerce App Builder

Make integrations easier to understand and troubleshoot: navigate between events, webhooks, actions, and handler code; catch configuration mistakes earlier; and simplify reproducing integration failures.

Magento template coverage

See which Luma and Hyvä template expressions and interactions your tests exercise, directly in the editor. Import reports from different tools, map results to the correct theme overrides, and clearly distinguish uncovered code from missing or outdated measurements.

Plugin code coverage and quality

Improve the plugin's reliability and maintainability by gathering Java and Kotlin coverage across all test types, publishing CI reports and badges, and reaching at least 95% line coverage. This concerns the plugin's own codebase.
