Smart Assistance

Use Toggle Smart (Session) when you want to place normally for a while without editing saved mod settings.

Turn Assistance Off or On

1. Press Num Decimal, or your rebound Toggle Smart (Session) key.
2. Disabling cancels the current Smart preview. Select a building or blueprint recipe again.
3. Build using normal Satisfactory placement.
4. Press the toggle again to re-enable Smart assistance.

The choice survives recipe changes and holstering for the current session. It does not overwrite your saved grid, Auto-Connect, or Extend configuration. Each multiplayer player controls their own assistance.

Large Vanilla Blueprints

Smart construction has a safe payload limit. Disabling assistance lets you select a large vanilla blueprint again and place it normally, without Smart's extra grid or seam connections. It does not increase the limit for Smart placements or provide free materials.

Rebind the Key

Find Toggle Smart (Session) in Options > Keybindings > Smart! Mod Controls. Choose any convenient key if your keyboard has no numpad. The action remains available while assistance is off.

Double-tapping Num 0 is a separate Auto-Connect/Extend shortcut; it does not replace this toggle.
