Teslaterm can be used to play music from the following file types:

  • .mid: MIDI files
  • .dmp: SID register dump files
  • .sid: SID music files. Playing this type of file involves simulating a 6502 processor. Since the simulation used is a relatively basic one (e.g. no support for undocumented instructions), some SID files using "advanced tricks" may not work correctly.

Additionally, MIDI can be provided by a general MIDI source (e.g. a MIDI keyboard), and SID can be provided using a NetSID compatible player.

To play a file drag&drop the file into Teslaterm after connecting to the UD3. Starting and stopping is done in the media menu, ontime/volume is controlled by the ontime slider on the right.

The UD3 supports VMS files as used in the MidiStick interrupter to define different MIDI instruments/programs. These can be loaded into the UD3 by drag&dropping them into Teslaterm.
