Known Issues

Bugs and surprising behaviour of @simple-reporting/base, as of version 1.0.55, with workarounds. Remove an entry here when it is fixed in the library.

CLI

Issue Workaround
srl create component <group>/<name> fails with EEXIST if the group does not exist yet (the group folder is created twice). Run npx srl create group <NNN.Group> first.
srl remove components|groups starts the mapping before the folders are deleted, so the design can still contain the removed components. Run npx srl map afterwards.
srl add compares the exact path including number prefixes. A renumbered or moved component is offered again and would be copied twice. Loose files in library group folders appear as choices. Do not select components you already have under another path, nor files like README.md.
The dev server's update notice compares versions incorrectly and never shows minor or major updates. npm outdated @simple-reporting/base

Build

Issue Workaround
srl build exits with code 0 even when a Vite build, Sass or the design validator fails. Scan the log for Error, validator messages and @error text.
A failing design validator silently skips everything after the ldd step: customer builds, XBRL @media stripping, design.zip, app.zip. Check that .output/design.zip and the other expected files exist and are new.
srl build -t ldd without a version asks interactively and blocks scripts. Pass the version: npx srl build <version> -t ldd.
-c all treats every entry of pdf/customers/ as a customer, also files like .gitkeep. Keep only customer folders in pdf/customers/.

Project setup

Issue Workaround
The generated .gitignore contains the typo /**/*.lcoal, so .env.production.local (read by the build) is not ignored. Add /.env*.local to the project's .gitignore.
The Vite plugin does not watch ld-conf.json, component .html files or new component folders. Restart npm run dev or run npx srl map.

SCSS

Issue Workaround
srl.grid-get-breakpoint($bp) returns var(--srl--breakpoint-…) (double hyphen), a variable that does not exist. Use var(--srl-breakpoint-<bp>) or map.get on the breakpoints.
srl.typography-get-font-weight, -get-letter-spacing and -get-text-transform do not check the name and silently return var(--…, unset). Double-check the names you pass.
color, letter-spacing or text-transform inside a typography media block break the Sass build. Override only font, line-height and margin values in media.
srl.grid-col($span, $bp) and srl.grid-offset($offset, $bp) apply only within $bp, not from $bp upwards. Wrap in srl.grid-media-up($bp).
Duplicate names in colors or typography silently overwrite each other; duplicate property keys too. Keep names unique.
