omega-zero is a Game Boy-centric frontend for Anbernic H700 handhelds running BaseOS. It plays GBA, GBC and GB games, and SNES and PlayStation games too, from shelves of cartridges and discs that go down into the handheld when you play them. It is made for the RG35XX SP first, and lays itself out natively for every H700 panel.
- Installing: put BaseOS and omega-zero on a card, and update later.
- Systems: the five systems, their files and cores, SNES carts and PlayStation discs.
- Controls: every button, on the shelf, in a game and in the menus. A tap of SELECT on the shelf lists them too.
- The Card: where games, saves, labels and settings live.
- Settings: START on the shelf. Fast-forward, rumble, the clock, the network and more.
- Shelf Background: Settings > Theme. A drifting pixel-art pattern or a plain colour behind the shelf, whose colour the menus take, and the bottom bar's font.
- Overlays: your own picture over the game.
- Link Play: two handhelds over Wi-Fi, for trades and battles.
- Wi-Fi, SSH and SFTP: join your network, copy games over, keep the clock right.
- Cart Labels: real label scans from ScreenScraper.
- Device Reports: tell us how omega-zero runs on your handheld.
- Troubleshooting: logs, crashes and common problems.
- Building from Source: run it on the desktop, build it for the device.
- Roadmap: what comes next.
