Settings
Press START on the shelf. Settings is a window of two panels, CONFIGS and GENERAL. Up and Down move through both; B or START goes back to the shelf.
Left and Right change these. The lit row shows ◀ ▶ either side of its value.
| Row | Does |
|---|---|
| Fast Forward | How fast R2 runs a game, SELECT + R2 a PlayStation game: 2X, 3X, 4X or 6X |
| Fast Forward Sound | Whether you hear the game while it runs fast |
| Colour Correction | The cores' colour correction, closer to the colours of the original handheld's screen, for GBA and Game Boy games. SELECT + Y in a game does the same |
| Rumble | The motor, for games that rumble |
| Labels › | Real label scans from ScreenScraper; see Cart Labels |
A opens these. Each ends in ›.
| Row | Opens |
|---|---|
| Date & Time | The clock. The row shows the date and time |
| Network | Wi-Fi, network time and SSH; see [[Wi-Fi, SSH and SFTP |
| Bluetooth | The Bluetooth radio and the devices paired with it; see Bluetooth below. The row shows the device connected, or ON or OFF. Handhelds without Bluetooth don't show it |
| Theme | The pattern and colour behind everything, and the bottom bar's font; see Shelf Background |
| About | omega-zero's version and build, its author, the handheld and its battery, and the credits |
The BLUETOOTH panel switches the radio with Left and Right; omega-zero keeps the choice and brings it back up at the next start. While it is on and this screen is open, DEVICES lists the devices paired with the handheld first; press X to look for the others in reach (the bar says X SCAN), which then follow the paired ones. Each device has an icon for what it is (headphones, a controller, a keyboard, or anything else) and CONNECTED, CONNECTING, PAIRING or PAIRED.
- A on a device found pairs with it and connects; on one paired, connects; on one connected, disconnects.
- Y forgets a paired device; the bar shows Y FORGET.
- The top bar's Bluetooth icon is lit while the radio is on.
Pairing needs no code: it works with headphones and controllers that pair with a button press. Sound from games over Bluetooth headphones, and playing with a Bluetooth controller, are still to come.
Left and Right move between the year, month, day, hour, minute and time zone; Up and Down change the one underlined. A sets the clock. B goes back and leaves it as it was. omega-zero also asks for the time at first boot. With Network Time on, the clock is kept right whenever Wi-Fi is joined, and the time zone stays the one you set here.
On the shelf, the bar says SELECT CONTROLS on the left and START SETTINGS on the right, with the shelf's system (GBA, GB, GBC, SNES or PS1) in a pill between them; see Controls. In every menu it says B RETURN and A CONFIRM. A screen's own keys are shown between its two ends, over the background: X SCAN, Y INFO and Y FORGET on Network, X SCAN and Y FORGET on Bluetooth, START FETCH and Y SIGN OUT on Labels.
Every move between screens slides. Leaving the shelf, the top bar goes up while the carts go out sideways: Settings, on START, comes in from the right and goes back out to the right, and CONTROLS, on SELECT, comes in from the left. Inside Settings, going into a screen, the one you leave goes out to the right and the new one comes in from the left; coming back is the mirror. The menus and both bars take their colours from Theme > Colour, and Theme > Font draws the bar's big words bold or thin.
