Database

The Science officer can access the ship's database of all known ship types, as well as data about weapons, space hazards, and factions. This can be vital when assessing a ship's capabilities without a deep scan, or for help navigating a black hole, wormhole, or other anomaly. The Database View crew screen is a dedicated extra view that displays only the database.

Certain scenarios might also add or update pertinent information to the database specific to your mission.

You can filter the database by entry title by clicking the search field at the top of the list of entries in the left column. To select a database entry, click/tap it; the selected entry's data is loaded into the right side of the database view. If the entry has a 3D representation of the entry, you can click/tap and drag it to rotate it for further examination, and click/tap it once to return it to automatic rotation.

While viewing an entry, click the Back button to navigate to the entry's parent.
