The fact that many persian forms are much closer to germanic forms than to other PIE languages is important: it matches well with the distribution of R1a and R1b (some forms are closer to german, some are english). The existence of this Indo Germanic branch is a strong indicator that the Yamnaya expansion was just the northern wave of Indo European, deeper layers in southern europe were likely carried by EEF and CHG ancestry and only partially updated by the yamnaya branch which took much influence from EHG populations who likely spoke proto Uralic, Altaic and Turk.
