What's causing what, right now — causal structure native to tiny footprints.
![]()
A 160px spine rail where episodes are rows that compress to slivers behind each compaction fold, non-adjacent causality draws as left-edge brackets, context pressure is a mercury gauge, and user prompts are permanent green rows that jump the transcript.
Realtime Comprehension — What it's doing now (pulsing row + NOW zone), what triggered it (causal brackets landing live — red caused-failure, blue steered, teal reported), whether a runaway/cascade is active (left border glows red), context pressure as right-edge mercury that drops at each fold. History literally compacts to slivers behind folds.
Long-Session Scaling — 287 turns → ~20 spine rows; sealed rows collapse to 5px slivers behind each fold, so vertical cost shrinks as the session grows — 10× longer sessions still fit one viewport. Prompt rows are exempt from compression forever.

![]()
A bottom-docked 100px tape: context-pressure hairline, permanent user-prompt diamond lane, actor tokens with spawn arcs, and a causal episode ribbon with a live why-now fuse — the whole session so far plus NOW in one strip.
Realtime Comprehension — Who's running (pulsing actor tokens + spawn arcs), what just fired (watch ▾ notches), what triggered the current action (live fuse chips: E7·⚠storm → E2·✱bug@44 → ▶ now), cascade formation (ribbon hatches red + ⚠CASCADE badge), and why folds happened (pressure hairline climbs then resets at purple nicks).
Long-Session Scaling — O(duration), never O(turns): 2,146 calls are implicit in ribbon color; only causally salient events earn pixels. Fixed full-session scale; fuse capped at 4 hops; prompt pips on a permanent lane that never scrolls.

![]()
A 320×240 corner HUD: a delegate/job constellation (spawn/report/interrupt links) on the left, a trigger fuse burning down to the current action on the right, and a notch-marked progress bar below.
Realtime Comprehension — Who spawned whom and what's still running (pulsing vs green/red nodes), what triggered the current action (fuse: current at bottom, causes stacked as rungs, connectors burn red in cascade), where it broke (red zigzag interrupt), progress bar with fold/fire/failure/model-switch notches; badge border pulses red under alert.
Long-Session Scaling — O(actors + fuse depth) — both stay tiny at any session length; everything else compresses to notches. The permanent U1–U7 pip row never scrolls; at extreme prompt counts pips shrink but never vanish.
