Getting started

Install

Install Profession Era Bar from CurseForge for World of Warcraft Retail and enable it on the character selection screen. For manual installation, put the ProfessionEraBar folder in World of Warcraft/_retail_/Interface/AddOns/; the folder should contain ProfessionEraBar.toc and ProfessionEraBar.lua directly.

The current addon TOC targets Retail Interface 120100. This wiki does not describe a Classic client build.

Open your first profession

1. Enter the game and click the hourglass launcher. Left click opens your first primary profession's Recipes; right click opens your second.
2. You can also open a profession through the game's normal controls.
3. On the Recipes or Specializations tab, look for the era bar beside the Professions window. It moves left or right according to available screen space.
4. Click a colored era to switch that expansion tier. The selected era receives a highlight.

If the character has no profession in the chosen launcher slot, that click has nothing to open. If an era is grayscale, the character has not learned that expansion tier for the current profession; hover it for its name and status.
