Using the Era Bar

The era bar appears beside the Retail Professions window on Recipes and Specializations. It follows the window and uses the side with more available screen space.

Era order

The twelve positions run newest to oldest:

These are eras within a Retail profession, not separate WoW clients.

Read and select a button

• A colored button represents a learned expansion tier. Click it to select that tier of the current profession; the selected era is highlighted.
• Hover a learned button to see its expansion name and skill level. When the tier has specialization points available, the tooltip also shows their count.
• A grayscale button represents an unlearned tier. Hover it to see the expansion name and the status message Unlearned for this profession. Clicking it does not select a profession the character has not learned.

The number of colored buttons depends on what that character has learned. All twelve positions remain visible.

Recipes and Specializations

From Recipes, selecting a different learned era opens its recipes. From Specializations, the addon switches through Recipes first. If the chosen era has a specialization tree, it returns to Specializations after the new tier is ready. Older eras without a tree stay on Recipes.

The bar is hidden on unsupported Professions tabs and during NPC crafting. It does not replace the game's profession training system.
