It's all about the artists
Remember, it's all about the artists! Without their fine content our project would just be a buch of stickers along the street.
If you tell an author, a musician or a band about your project and that you want to feature them, they most certainly love it.
It is said that artists are rather complicated. It turned out for us that this is not at all the case. Sometimes they are a bit picky when it comes to the right wording - but that's their profession and obsession.
###Hot to find artists? Most of them are easy to find. Most likely there are many concerts, exhibitions or lectures around your town. Go there and talk to them directly or to bar owners or book stores. They can help you out too.
Many artists have websites but they are harder to reach than you would expect. Sometimes they are as lazy with replying to emails as we are.
###Take care of copyright Someone could call a project like this "filesharing". Though it's totally legal (if you ask for permission), it can be a fearful term for some.
When we mention "care for copyright" we mean:
- Tell them specifically what you plan and for how long the content will be up.
- Ask for the permission to every single content item and software you use (fonts, images for the logo etc.)
- Give atribution and mention the photographer of an artist's picture.
Stay safe and out of trouble!
